About Us

Started by a group of enthusiasts known as the Australian Salsicce Council (ASC) with the objective of preserving the long tradition of Italian sausage-making commenced their venture from humble beginnings in a garage in Balwyn, Victoria in 2005. The initial batch was only 20kg but word soon spread of the tasty and savoury delights and it wasn't long before orders rapidly increased. What started as a backyard hobby in a garage has expanded dramatically and now boasts over a dozen active members producing over 500kg of cured meat including mild and hot salami, capocollo and pancetta.

This website is dedicated to sharing the experiences of the annual "salsicce day" activities. Over time it may evolve to include other features such as on-line ordering, product reviews and members news. Stay tuned!
